Conventional Understanding
We usually think of information as facts or data we collect and share – like objects passed between people. “Getting information” seems like receiving packages of content that exist separately from us. This view makes us passive collectors rather than active participants. It’s also allowed powerful institutions to control information as a commodity, while we remain unaware of how deeply it shapes our entire experience of reality.
Resonant Understanding
Word Cosmology reveals “information” shares its pattern with “field of experience,” “spiritual,” and “creation matrix.” Think of iron filings scattered on paper that instantly align to reveal an invisible magnetic field – information works similarly. It’s not content we gather but the field where hidden patterns become visible. This shifts our understanding from seeing information as stuff we collect to recognizing it as the space where reality patterns appear to our awareness.
Expressions Spectrum Analysis
When in balance, information appears as “the process of discovery” and “conscious agreement” – showing how patterns reveal themselves without forcing. “Honoring your path” shows how each person’s unique journey through this field remains connected to the whole.
When over-modulated, information becomes “appearance” and “the illusion of power” – rigid frameworks that simulate rather than reveal. “I am in control” shows how we position ourselves as authorities over information rather than participants within it.
When under-modulated, we experience “anxiety” and “fear of receiving” – what happens when patterns lack coherent form. “You create for me” reveals the passive relationship that emerges when we don’t recognize our participation.
Other expressions sharing this pattern include “electrical records,” “hologram,” and interestingly, “spiritual” – suggesting what we’ve called spirituality might be another name for this same field.
Russell’s Cosmogony Connection
Walter Russell described a universe where patterns record and broadcast themselves:
“Every electric wave is a recording instrument which is forever recording the form of thought in wave fields of matter.”
Like ripples on a pond revealing unseen currents while remaining part of the water, information allows patterns to become visible without separating from the whole. What we think of as separate pieces of information are actually different patterns becoming visible within the same unified field.
Practical Implications
This understanding transforms how we approach both knowledge and spiritual growth. If “information” and “spiritual” share the same pattern, perhaps spirituality isn’t a separate realm but simply direct participation in this field where patterns become visible.
Rather than collecting facts or seeking special experiences beyond ordinary life, we might develop sensitivity to the field itself. This challenges both educational systems that treat knowledge as content to memorize and spiritual traditions that position enlightenment as something beyond everyday experience.
By recognizing information as the living field we participate in rather than content we possess, we open to a more integrated relationship with both knowledge and our spiritual nature – discovering they may be different aspects of the same experience.
